Northern has today released its timetables for two of the three days of RMT strike action next week.

Sharon Keith, Regional Director at Northern, said: “Earlier this week we introduced temporary timetables on several routes in the North West to give customers much more certainty about the rail services which will run.

Northern has announced a temporary change to its timetable to help reduce last minute cancellations.

Network Rail and Northern announced today they will be commissioning an independent report and recommendations into the preparations and processes leading up to the implementation of the recent timetable change. Customer groups, transport and Northern stakeholders will be invited to contribute to the report.
