Earlier today part of the station building collapsed at Northwich station. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Following the partial collapse of the station building at Northwich earlier today (Tuesday 18 May) Northern and Network Rail have issued the following:

Northern is reminding customers to plan carefully ahead of the introduction of new timetables next week.

Northern trainer and assessor David Mayo has reached his 30-year milestone with Northern after following in father’s footsteps to work in rail.  

Northern has gone above and beyond to give its customers a better way to buy tickets. 

Northern is preparing to change its timetables to give people returning to rail travel more flexibility.

Colourful new artwork welcoming passengers to one of Northern’s Greater Manchester stations has been painted by volunteers.  

Northern customers can now donate their refunds from delayed trains to a Samaritans. 

Northern’s stations are to be given an artistic splash of colour thanks to a competition that celebrates the talents of its customers.

A new mural has added a splash of colour to the entrance of Halifax station, while paying homage to the town’s landmarks. 

All at Northern send condolences to the Royal Family following the sad announcement of the death of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

Northern has installed new CCTV cameras at one of its Cumbrian stations to provide even safer journeys for customers.
