Male staff working for the train operator, Northern have joined together to release an important video message to men everywhere ahead of International Men’s Day 2022 tomorrow (Sat, 19 November).

In line with other train operators, Northern’s new timetable comes into effect next month with some significant changes to service times and stopping points.

Northern is giving one lucky customer the chance to win unlimited travel every weekend across the network for a whole month.  

Northern is looking to recruit up to 16 engineering apprentices to join the team responsible for maintaining and enhancing its fleet of trains.

Northern is advising customers not to travel on routes between Carlisle and Haltwhistle due to the availability of replacement buses this weekend.  

Remembrance events are to be held across the network on Friday 11 November – and on Remembrance Sunday itself (13 November) – with customers and colleagues from the rail industry joining Northern staff in paying tribute to those who gave their lives.
