A customer speaks to Kerry Peters, Director of Stations at Northern

Customers invited to ‘Meet the Manager’ at Manchester Victoria to have their say on rail

Customers travelling through Manchester Victoria are being invited to speak directly with senior rail managers at a special drop-in session next week.

Train operator Northern will host a ‘Meet the Manager’ event at the station between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday 29 September.

The session will give customers the chance to speak face to face with senior managers, ask questions about their journeys and share feedback about the services they use.

It follows a similar event held at Leeds station earlier this year and is part of an initiative designed to bring rail managers closer to the people who use the railway every day.

Senior representatives from the rail industry will be on hand throughout the two-hour session to listen to customers, answer questions and discuss the issues that matter to them.

Alex Hornby, Commercial and Customer Director for Northern, said: “We want our customers to have the opportunity to speak directly to the people responsible for running their railway.

“These sessions give us a chance to hear first-hand about people’s experiences – what we’re getting right, where we need to improve and what matters most to customers when they travel with us.

“There’s no need to make an appointment. If you’re travelling through Manchester Victoria on Tuesday afternoon, come over, meet the team and have a conversation with us.”

For those who would like to submit a question beforehand or cannot attend in person, a form has been set up to allow questions to be submitted on the Northern website: https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/meet-the-managers

Northern is the second largest train operator in the UK, with 2,650 services a day to more than 500 stations across the North of England.
